SM300 Series

Low Cost Telemetry Hardware

The SM300 Series MTU (master terminal unit) and RTU (remote terminal unit) are low-cost, stand-alone telemetry hardware used for I/O signal transmission. Simply install the master and remote units, set DIP switches and power up. Master (MTU) to Remote (RTU) communication data signals such as cycles, runtimes, minimums, and maximums are transmitted via internal modem over leased lines, radio or spread spectrum connections

This system is compatible with every programmable controller, DCS, or other device that accepts input signals, as well as most commercial software packages. The SM300 Master supports telemetry for 1 or 2 tanks and status and control for up to 8 pumps. Up to 4 Remote RTUs can be connected to the Master.

MTU I/O Features:

  1. Output real time tank levels as 4-20ma which correspond to 4-20ma signals received from the remote site.
  2. Output real time status Digital's which correspond to Digital's received from the remote site.
  3. Accepts control contact inputs which are in turn sent to the remote site for output to the device (i.e. pump).
  4. Communications are automatic. The Master provides notification output if communication failure with remote is detected. If communications fail, remote outputs are held or reset.
